Sdraw lets you deal with images, text, and lets you draw things also. I had no problem saving my drawings as a "dxf" and importing it into "sdraw". This is a drawing program, vector based, that can import "dxf" files. After you fully install this suite, open or start "sdraw". The concept is the same as Ctrl + C to copy and Ctrl + V to paste, which can also be used in AutoCAD. You didn't say which operating system your using, I'll assume Windows (doesn't really matter). Save ProE drawing as AutoCAD file - then from AutoCAD create metafile using COPYCLIP -then paste into Word/Power Point. Seemed to work ok, but the text formats can get funky on you.ģ. Then you can copy that back to your Word doc. or paste it into paint so you can crop or resize it. Hit Ctrl+c (copy) then go to your Word doc and Hit Ctrl+v (paste) then stretch as needed. You need to reset the color scheme to 'Black on White' so the lines come out. Step 2: In AutoCAD chose a part of in drawing AutoCAD that you need. It solves AutoCAD problems related to copying and pasting drawings into other software packages like Microsoft Word. Then, double click on the MText object and Copy the text (Ctrl + C) Now launch Microsoft Excel and paste the data there. Note: For best results, align the text objects the way you need them in Excel.
